About me

Friends

When creating a set for an upcoming sculpture/video art project, I made a bunch of Frankensteins out of stuffed animals. These creatures were created by upcycling products seen as worthless and on their way to the landfill. This was done to represent how sexual assault victims are seen as broken, and this hate is often internalized so by giving broken, unwanted items a new purpose. I choose to use stuffed animals because of their connection with mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, and ADHD, which are communities that face an increased risk of being victims. I photograph them individually and in scenes, hoping to heal myself and other traumas.
